She
was just named as having the most Billboard Hot 100 hits by a woman, and there
was only one way Nicki Minaj wanted
to celebrate - by twerking.
The
rapper shared a somewhat hypnotic video of herself twerking on Instagram to mark the milestone, before
stepping out in London and mingling with some fans.
Dressed
in a short red PVC skirt and matching bra top, the 34-year-old can be seen
shaking her bottom as she twerks for the camera.
She's
wearing knee-high cut-out black stilettos, and her long black hair skims the floor as she shakes and shimmers her
way towards music history.
'When
u find out u just became the only woman in the history of billboard to have 76
Hot 100 billboard entries,' she captioned the video.
The
Anaconda singer released three new singles this month alone, and is currently
in London where she is filming a new music video.
Nicki
was seen leaving her hotel clad in a floor-length white and brown fur coat, strappy stilettos and giant sunglasses,
which obscured half of her face.
But
before getting into a waiting limo, the often controversial star took some time
out to speak with her fans, imploring them to believe in themselves.
'Just
know that you guys can do any f***ing thing you put your minds to,' she told
them. 'The same way you feel about me, I want you to feel about yourselves.
I
want you to go after your f***ing dreams and your goals, and do not ever
f***ing settle.'
There's
no doubt the title will mean a lot to Nicki, who has long spoken about
empowering women.
'Nowadays,
I feel like [young women] see marrying into money - I think that's a big thing
now. I don't want that to be a woman's goal in life,' she told Marie Claire
magazine in October last year.
'I
want your goal in life to be to become an entrepreneur, a rich woman, a
career-driven woman.
You have to be able to know that you need no man on this
planet at all, period, and he should feel that, because when a man feels that
you need him, he acts differently.'
And
while she's all for encouraging women to be the best they can be, the outspoken
star revealed she her main role model is actually a man - specifically Jay Z,
47.
'I
don't need to read a book about [business],' she added. 'I can look at
someone's career and just pinpoint the dos and the don'ts, and the one person
I've done that with for my entire career was Jay Z.'
But
the Empire State Of Mind rapper had better watch his back, because Nicki claims
she can crush the competition.
'He
did such a great job being an authentic street guy and a businessman, and I was
like, "Why aren't there women doing that, taking the success from rap and
channeling it into their empire?" I felt like anything he could do, I
could do.'
